It’s All a Little Cray Cray…
Not many of us thought a few months that this is where we would be. But here we are. Lockdown for what feels like a long and difficult road ahead. For most of us we have been socially distancing for a few weeks now. We have been homeschooling, working remotely, taking our one walk a day, and avoiding going to the shops (those that are still open) as much as we can. Some days have definitely been easer than others. But we will get through this. And here you will find some ways for how we can do this together, but APART.
Some things to remember before we start: (adapted from Dhiman)
- This is temporary – it might feel like it is never going to end, BUT it will. And we must remember that fact.
- You are not alone – sure we have to socially distant, but in this age of technology there are so many ways to stay connected. That doesn’t negate the fact that we are social creatures it is just a reminder that we can still engage.
- You are stronger than you think – we have probably heard that a thousand times and if we have heard that so many times before it must mean we got through the last challenge and so we can rise to this new one.
- There is always hope – yes that is right…there is HOPE. It might feel quite dark at the moment, but there soon there will be light.
- You can gain some control – sure it might feel like we are completely out of control at the moment, but let’s remember we can control our “bubble”. So get up, get washed, get dressed, and have an agenda for the day. But remember, on those days that you just need to take is easy it is ok if you do.
