Style – It’s the Holidays

Whether it’s a work’s do, and end of school/kids party, a neighborhood get-together, a friends happy hour, or a friend of a friends party, everyone is throwing one. So what do you wear? We love separates. And this skirt hits the mark. It is fun, flirty, has some sparkle, and can be worn with a variety of tops, shoes, accessories, and jackets.

We paired this skirt with a lace top and belled sleeves that can be worn later with jeans, and sneakers for a completely different look. The skirt is from Nordstrom and has a full underskirt to give it some volume. It can also be worn anywhere on the waist because it is elasticated. Being shorter and having a fuller figure I like to wear skirts like this because it gives me some balance and wearing it a little higher on the waist ensures that it doesn’t cut my legs off.

This dress has lots of details. Faux bows and pearled buttons, a tired skirt, sheer sleeves and metallic stars of varying sizes. It was perfect to ring in the New Year. The heels are Sam Edelman and a must for any wardrobe because they go with everything and can be worn for any occasion.
