Hello indeed!

I’m not sure why getting a blog up and running has taken so long, could it be the book one of us wrote, or the other one raising 3 children, or, if we are being completely honest it was NERVES!! I’m sure many of you can relate. When you embark on a new endeavor it can come with a lot of self doubt. But here we are, finally, jumping right in.

So, here goes – we are sisters (Lauren and Liané) who love fashion and believe that chic style comes in all shapes, sizes, and at all price points. We love expensive brands and no brand labels that don’t cost more than a cup of overpriced coffee (am I right?). Our goal for this blog is to let people know that you don’t always have to have the latest trend or spend a lot of money trying to wear the newest item of the month (or even of that day) because lets be honest, some things just don’t look right on everyone…and that is OK. And trust us, we have tried and failed with some very questionable choices over the years and we have learnt that we don’t have to buy into the trend to look on point and chic. I mean, do we really all want to look alike anyway? Sometimes pairing older items in your wardrobe with newer hand picked fashion pieces can be fun and unique and help us all stand out. Hence, the term “personal style.”

We also want to be honest and upfront about the products we use and love and those we have tried and thrown away. There is nothing worse than getting a pair of shoes, for example, that supposedly fits everyone else in the IG world “perfectly,” but don’t fit you…how confusing is that! So, you can rest reassure, if we promote a product on our blog, it really is because we truly love it. We will also talk about pieces that didn’t work for us

So, here we are sisters that love clothing, travel, food, always having a good laugh and whatever else life throws at us.
